Gemini Biosciences is a dynamic and innovative bio-reagents and life sciences contract research services company whose mission is to enhance life sciences and biomedical research in both the academic and commercial sectors, by making it easier, more reliable and cost effective. We take the collaborative approach when dealing with our customers who are scientific colleagues.
The company develops and commercialises high quality research products and services for proteomics, biochemistry, molecular biology, structural biology, metabolomics, cell biology and computational biology to the life sciences community, including researchers in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology companies as well as in academic research institutions.

Paul Ajuh
PhD, MBA
Managing Director
Dr Ajuh is the founder of Gemini Biosciences and has previously worked as CEO and cofounder of Dundee Cell Products Ltd based in Dundee, Scotland where he introduced and developed many innovative products and services for life sciences research making the company an established brand in the UK life sciences business sector.

He has broad scientific research expertise in the areas relevant to Gemini Biosciences business activities, building up extensive hands-on experience over several years working as research scientist in medical, biotech and academic research laboratories before moving into biotech industry sector to take on management roles almost a decade ago. Dr Ajuh was responsible for building the business and commercialisation of the company’s technologies from start-up; establishing many collaborative projects with many UK academic institutions. Dr Ajuh is a Royal Society of Edinburgh/SE enterprise fellow and is also a director of Invescare LS Ltd. He holds a PhD degree in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool and an MBA from the University of Dundee
Lu-Yun Lian
PhD, MBA
Chief Scientist - Gemini Biosciences
Prof Lian is the Director of the NMR Centre for Structural Biology, University of Liverpool. She is an internationally renowned expert in structural biology and has published over 165 peer-reviewed papers. Her research focuses on the structural and biophysical studies of the proteins, which are important for most of the common disease states including cardiovascular, cancer, metabolic diseases, brain function and neurodegenerative diseases and tropical diseases. She has extensive senior management experience including memberships of Governing Boards of Higher Education Institutions. Prof. Lian has also served on numerous major grant awarding panels in the UK and Europe.
Jonathan Ford
Finance - Adviser Gemini Biosciences
Jonathan is the Managing Director of Jonathan Ford & Co Chartered Accountants based in Liverpool Innovation Park. He trained as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PWC) in Liverpool before becoming a small business services manager for Grant Thornton in Warrington. He also spent three years as the financial controller for Brookside and Hollyoaks (not that he ever mentions it!).
Jonathan is recognised as a specialist in the entertainment industry and is often called upon to provide training courses and seminars for media professionals. He's also a bit of a technology geek and has been recognised within the accountancy industry as one of the most progressive accountants in the UK.
